Automated PLC System Emulator
Testing a PLC program is challenging, as the presence of the entire operational hardware is required, and the hardware is only available at the final stage of commissioning. The entire testing process is time-consuming and does not always generate reproducible results since tests are often performed manually.
Kadronics developed portable high accuracy compact emulators for various field-level type sensors. The Automated PLC System emulates various sensor type inputs such as pressure sensors, humidity sensors, temperature PT1000 sensors, ultrasonic level sensors and wiring continuity checks.
This enables Hardware-in-the-loop simulation that allows manufacturers to perform scalable and reproducible tests in the lab, even during the early development stages.
Kadronics emulator system has the capability to be a digital twin of the whole system or parts of the system which enables agile development process and allows to test safety corner cases, integrate new hardware upon availability, and make controller design changes when they are still cost-effective to implement.
Testing control algorithms is time-consuming, expensive, and potentially unsafe if you decide to test against the real system. To remain competitive and deliver high-quality controller software, test engineers have replaced traditional testing methods with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
Hardware-in-the-Loop testing lets you verify your controller design without the complete system hardware.
